8/2/2006 - Rees Set For Skoda Debut On Wyedean

     Dorian Rees will start the Get Connected! Wyedean Forest Rally on Saturday 11th February full of confidence with his competition debut in a Skoda Octavia World Rally Car. Rees who won the event in 2005, has spent today (Wednesday) testing the car at a venue in Lincolnshire.

     "We had a good test, the car is very good. The feeling behind the wheel is very responsive and I am sure if the car performs the same on the rally it will be a very good event for us. It is good fun to drive and should be fun to watch as there is plenty of control with the car when its going sideways."

     Dorian will be partnered on the rally by Paul Willets in the Prospeed Motorsport Octavia. However Dorian would not commit to his overall position at the end of the rally.

     "While there is a good feeling for the car, I have not got a clue where we will end up on the rally. It would be nice to have a good placed finish, but I am just happy to be out driving the car."

     While Dorian is competing himself on the rally, his Subaru Impreza will also be contesting the event in the hands of Carwyn Harries.

     Full reviews of both drivers will appear shortly after the rally.
